INTERCESSION... EQUIPPED TO PRAY... DON'T GET WEARY IN WELL DOING

The Holy Spirit stopped me in my tracks this morning with one word... INTERCESSION. The word intercession means praying or pleading on behalf of others, acting as a go between or advocate to bring their needs before God per multiple sources through Google. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 says, "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, INTERCESSIONS, and giving of thanks BE MADE FOR ALL MEN, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence." (Emphasis mines) I believe many are alive today because those that were called to intercede for them stood in the gap. I believe many are walking in their God-given purpose because someone interceded on their behalf. I believe many have received breakthrough in their minds, and their bodies because someone that was called to intercede for them answered the call. I am a living testimony that someone interceded for me! My grandfather prayed over me in the womb of my mother several times before his passing. The year he passed was the year the enemy came for me, and although my life took a traumatic turn I am telling you by the grace of God that the prayers of the righteous avail as much! I stand here today because of the prayers of my grandfather, a RIGHTEOUS MAN😭🙌🏾 (James 5:16)! I don't know whose reading this and need this! Don't get weary in well doing! Intercede for your child (Galations 6:9)! Intercede for the lost! Intercede for those the Father highlights to you no matter how far it seems they have been overtaken by darkness! The world needs Jesus (John 3:16). Someone must intercede. Someone must pray for the celebrity that seems so far gone. Someone must intercede for those on the frontlines! Someone must understand the importance of interceding on behalf of communities, cities, states, and nations! We must go tear down altars built by demonic forces, and build the Father His altar! (2 Chronicles 34:7, Jeremiah 1:10) Paul continued... "For this is GOOD and ACCEPTABLE IN THE SIGHT OF GOD OUR SAVIOR, who desires ALL MEN TO BE SAVED and to COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF the TRUTH." 1 Timothy 2:3-4 (Emphasis mines) As I was sitting with the Lord concerning intercession I was thinking how equally important it is to teach people how to pray for themselves which prepares them to intercede on the behalf of others for this reason... "For WE DO NOT WRESTLE AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but against PRINCIPALITIES, against POWERS, against the RULERS OF THE DARKNESS of this age, against SPIRITUAL HOSTS OF WICKEDNESS in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12 (emphasis mines) It is vital that God's people be equipped in this hour to know how to stand against the wiles of the enemy for their life. "Therefore TAKE UP THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD, that you may be able to WITHSTAND IN THE EVIL DAY, and having done all, to STAND." Ephesians 6:13 (emphasis mines) For the days are evil. We need crystal clear clarity on who our real enemy is, and how to defeat our enemy. We need to know the importance in tarrying in prayer to hear clearly from the Holy Spirit on our targets. We need to be specific in our prayers for others, as well as for ourselves. Getting to the root of the problem is just as important than identifying the fruit. There has been a lot of videos surfacing about many denouncing sororities and fraternities. They explain thoroughly the consequences that comes along with being apart of these organizations and how to get set free from the fruit, and which I think is necessary. However, I keep asking myself what is the ROOT cause for Christians to feel the need to join organizations like these? Is being in COVENANT with Jesus not enough? Is there an ORPHAN spirit at work? Is there a lack of TRUE IDENTITY IN CHRIST? Everything we have need of lies within JESUS. The open doors some look for through these organizations lies within JESUS. The brotherhood and sister hood many look for lies within JESUS. He will lead and guide us to authentic community. May we all be equipped properly in this hour. Sober, alert, and FREE! MAY our identity be COMPLETELY rooted in Jesus Christ!! JESUS, YOU ARE ENOUGH! #prayer #intercession #identity #Jesus
