Is Anything too Hard for God? The Promise Still Stands!

As I was spending time with the Lord this morning, He begin to highlight the life of Abraham. How all his past tests of faith and obedience had led him to a moment in time where he would face his greatest testing, and greatest act of obedience. This test and act of obedience would reveal the true heart of Abraham, and answer the questions, "Do Abraham really trust God?" "Do Abraham really believe that God is a God that keeps His promises?" "Did his past practice tests transform his way of thinking?" "Did they increase his faith in God any?" "Was it enough to believe and trust God beyond the point he ever had to in the past?"
What did the Lord acquire of Abraham? The promise. His promised son. The promise that would make Abraham the Father of nations. The promise that would make his descendants as numerous as the stars. The very thing Abraham waited multiple years for. The miracle promise. The promise that would never have come to pass without divine intervention. This promise could not be made manifest by the hands of man, but only through the hands of God.
God told Abraham to build an altar and sacrifice this miracle promise to Him. Abraham knew the only way that any of what the Father promised that would come through the promise required a promise with a heartbeat. A promise with life.
Hebrews 11:19 says, "Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead."
This scripture reveals Abrahams unwavering faith in the Father to keep His promise. He knew even if the promise was to die the Father would indeed resurrect it, because without resurrection this would make God a liar. We all know the Father is NOT a man that He should lie. His word will NEVER return to Him void. He is quick to perform His Word.
I want to encourage you to take to the altar whatever the Father has asked of you. Lay it down and leave it there. Let it go and trust God. This promise is impregnated with multiple promises. To ensure those promises come forth, this promise has to live. For whatever He promised will surely come to past. Trust Him with it. If this is for you, you know exactly what that is, and it's between you and God. Trust that God is a God where what is impossible with man, is possible with God.
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" Jer. 32:27
