THE GOSSIPING SPIRIT HAS INFILTRATED THE CHURCH:

One spirit many within the body of Christ need to be delivered from is the spirit of GOSSIP. I want to speak to one area specifically that the Lord is highlighting to me:

GOSSIPING ABOUT THOSE WHO ARE BEING EXPOSED. Instead of us having gossip sessions about people in the body of Christ that are being exposed, it would be wise to shift our focus to... "Father show me the trap they walked into, so that I won't walk into that same trap". Galations 6:1 says, "Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should RESTORE THAT PERSON GENTLY. But WATCH YOURSELVES, or YOU ALSO MAY BE TEMPTED." (emphasis mines) Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:27 that he DISCIPLINE HIS BODY and BRING IT INTO SUBJECTION, lest, when he have preached to others, HE HIMSELF SHOULD BECOME DISQUALIFIED. We should be asking the Father to expose any insecurities within us. Asking Him to expose the pride and selfish ambition in our own hearts. Asking Him to expose where we fear man more than we fear God. Asking Him to reveal things in our lives that have become idols. Asking Him to search our hearts for the betterment of our own walk with the Lord, lest we fall into the same traps. Everyone who is reading this right now is capable of falling (John 8:7). We should be learning from others mistakes rather than being self-righteous. The Father loves them just like He loves us. Even in their mistakes He loves them. The purpose of exposure and judgement is for the people to turn back to the Father. It's for them to get back into alignment with the Father's heart. It has nothing to do with bashing people, tearing people down while they are already down, or speaking about them in a negative way in private to others. It's one thing to speak truth with the love of God in your heart to warn people, but to speak truth with this underlining religious self-righteous prideful spirit is another. It's not the heart of the Father. Ephesians 4:27 says, "and give no opportunity to the devil." Most of those people are people who absolutely love the Lord, but some how they gave the enemy an open door and he took it. Sometimes there are cracks in our foundations with leaky ceilings. If we do not tend to those things it gives room for the enemy. We all should be tending to ourselves and asking the Lord to give us a heart for those who have fallen so we can pray for them with a sincere heart (Ephesians 6:18, Hebrews 13:1). I'm not saying you have to trust their voice right now, or give them access to you in any way. It's not to dismiss what they have done, or not to hold them accountable, but it is certainly not to pretend we have this discernment concerning them where some of us are discerning and speaking with a callous heart and a self-righteous spirit. The areas where we really need discernment is our own life, being able to discern our own serpent like behavior. If this is you in anyway, and you say you are a follower of Jesus Christ, repentance is required of you. We must do better as the body of Christ. The gossip within body of Christ is unbelievable. The area I spoke about is the area the Lord highlighted. However, there are many areas where gossip is reigning within the church, and we all need to be held accountable to our actions. This needs to stop on all accounts. I pray God fearing conviction concerning anyone who open their mouths to gossip about another brother and sister in Christ in any way. It's actually detestable. It's wicked and it's evil. Romans 12:9, "Hate what is evil; cling to what is good". #gossip #church #repent #christian
