Don't be afraid of the warnings of God, but rather welcome them with an open heart when they come.
I had a dream where I heard, "God warns because He loves us."
The Father sends multiple warnings different ways. He also sends a warning, multiple times. This is only because He loves us. He does not send warnings with an ill intent in His heart, but rather because He is looking out for our well-being.
The Father's warnings are a re-direction to get into alignment with His will and plans for our lives, cities, and nations. His warnings are a re-direction to walk on the narrow path given to set us apart from the ways of the world. The ways of the world can bring forth death spiritually and physically. The Father's way always bring forth Godly fruit and life. His warnings are also a redirection into His protection, and gives us a choice to repent and turn to the Father's way and not our own. (See Ezekiel 3:17-19 Matthew 3:7-8, Luke 13:3, Ezekiel 18:30)
The Father sees what's ahead. He knows our ending from our beginning, and because of that, He chooses from a heart posture of love to warn us ahead of time (See Isaiah 46:10). With that same heart posture of love, He gives us the choice to choose whether or not if we will take heed to the warnings being released. (See Revelation 2:21)
Many of us make the mistake in focusing on the messenger releasing the warning, rather than focusing on the message concerning the warning. When we do this, it puts us in danger to the consequences that follows when we choose not to take heed to the direction of the Lord no matter who He has chosen to release the warning through. (See Amos 3:7, 2 Chronicles 36:15-16, Luke 16:29-31, Jeremiah 25:4-7)
There is a time when the warnings stop, and statements are declared. Warning always comes before destruction. (See Proverbs 16:18, Deuteronomy 28:15, Isaiah 1:18-20)
The word warning means a statement or event that indicates a POSSIBLE or IMPENDING danger, problem, or other unpleasant situation according to Oxford Languages.
Impending means forth coming and on the way according to Oxford Languages. However, something that may be coming in your direction can always take a turn into another direction through repentance and/or prayer. It's like a storm heading your way, but some how the storm either dissipate or take a turn into another direction.
DEFINITE means CLEARLY TRUE or real; unambiguous. It's means FIRM, FINAL, SURE, ABSOLUTE, and CERTAIN according to Oxford Languages.
There is a clear difference between a warning and a statement being made. A warning gives you the time and opportunity to change course. A time to take authority in prayer if you need to. A time to repent and turn. A time to have a change of heart and mind. However, when a statement is declared it is definite. It is without the choice or opportunity to change course. It shall and it will happen as it was stated.
When we do not take heed to the multiple warnings of God, the choice to change direction without consequences is removed, and now we will face the consequences that comes along with our poor decision making. This is not because of a lack of love from the Father, but rather that the consequences of our sins will open our eyes to the NEED of the DIRECTION and COUNSEL of a loving GOD (FATHER).
Jonah released a warning to the city of Nineveh about the destruction that was coming their way if they did not repent. This warning gave the people of Nineveh an opportunity to repent and turn to get into alignment with God. The people took heed to the warning which resulted in the protection of the Lord from the consequences of their sin. (See Jonah 3:4, Jonah 3:10)
What would have happened to Noah and his family if he did not take heed to the warning of the Lord to build an ark because of the coming flood that would destroy all living creation? Him and his family would have drowned with the rest of creation. (See Genesis 6:13, Hebrews 11:7)
We must stop fearing warnings and/or ignoring the people the Lord is choosing to send them through, but rather take heed, choosing to seek the Lord in prayer concerning the warning. He will reveal if the warning is legit or not.
